Providing schools and academies with a quality transport for swimming service
Length of Agreement
The 2017/18 SLA runs on an Academic Year and runs to August 2018, to provide schools and academies with a quality transport to swimming service.
The agreement can only be terminated if swimming is removed from the national curriculum or exceptional circumstances exist outside the control of the school or local authority. Any decision to consider termination of the SLA must be made in writing to the Business Partner (Schools) and if agreed, one terms notice will be accepted.
The SLA will be amended as and when required to ensure that the service can be efficiently and effectively undertaken.
New schools wanting to join the contract for the 2017/18 academic year should contact Schools Finance to discuss their requirements.
It is the school’s responsibility to ensure that the pupils are well behaved at all times when being transported and appropriate supervision must be undertaken
It is the school’s responsibility to ensure that their pupils are ready to be collected from the school and the swimming centre at the stated times. Failure to adhere to this instruction may result in another school being late or missing their swimming session. The school at fault may be charged by the Schools Finance Team with the costs incurred by the school that missed or arrived late for their swimming session(s).
It is the school’s responsibility to inform Parkwood Leisure and Centaur if a swimming session is delayed or cancelled.
If a school wishes to increase the number of sessions, they should contact Parkwood Leisure to ensure the sessions are available.
The school should then email Schools Finance requesting transport for the additional sessions. Schools Finance will confirm with Ultimate Transport whether the transport is available and let the school know.
The school will be charged for the additional transport.
