A SIMS Support Team providing support, training and development service for schools

The purpose of this team is to provide support, training and development service for schools to ensure that they meet their statutory responsibilities but also get the most out of their management information systems (SIMS .NET & FMS) which in turn make your school more effective

This service is provided through the team ‘Service desk’, giving schools a single point of contact for logging issues and queries, which are then resolved internally or escalated to the system providers (i.e. Capita)

We aim to assist schools to become more effective by: contributing to the raising of achievement through accurately recording core pupil data, including assessment, attendance, behaviour and SEN & exclusions information ensuring that data is used as productively as possible, including data extracts to other systems, including FFT and Target Tracker.

We are also working to deliver projects on behalf of the DfE, such as the parental engagement agenda, managing EOY attainment, and pupil premium as well as helping schools fulfill their statutory responsibilities. These include including school census, school workforce census and consistent financial reporting.

As part of core services, the team also provide a wealth of information through the team website (www.bexley-is.org.uk) and run a full program of SIMS training throughout the year. Core support to users is provided through telephone and remote desktop support, as well as on site visits or workshops.
