Annual NQT Conference

Outline

This is Bexley’s annual NQT Conference, open to all Bexley and Non-Bexley NQTs.

Description

This is a motivational day for all new NQTs that utilise the Bexley Appropriate Body service. The event seeks to capture the interest and excitement of as many new NQTs as possible and to motivate and inspire them on their journey into teaching. The theme of the conference is resilience and the cohort will have opportunities to listen to speakers discuss wellbeing (both self and children), mindfulness, behaviour management and evidence-informed teaching.

The afternoon session will focus on tip and hints given by NQTs that completed induction last year with their focus being, ‘what I wish I had known this time last year’.

The NQTs will receive an overview of the NQT Induction process and have the opportunity to engage with the NQT Induction team and be welcomed by a Senior Leader from Children’s Services Directorate.
