This network aims to empower school leaders to transform the well-being of pupils and staff. Optionally, the course lead will offer support to those undertaking the Optimus Well-Being Award.
Within the new Ofsted Framework (Sept 2019) and across the media nationally, the well-being and mental health of children, young people and school and trust staff is being highlighted. Across six termly sessions, the well-being network will seek to: - provide a space to learn effective strategies and policies in whole school approaches to well being.
- Gain support for the completion of the Optimus Well Being Award.
- Provide an opportunity to network and share good practice.
Network sessions will be facilitated by Kelly Hannigan, Well-Being Leader at Lessness Heath Primary School, the first school in the country to receive the Optimus Well-Being Award. Play therapist, speaker, passionate advocate of positive mental health and published author, Kelly will guide school leaders through achieving the kind of school culture that every child, young person and adult can thrive in.
