Stonewall is the UK’s leading charity supporting LGBTQ+ rights. They exist to let all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people, here and abroad, know they are not alone. Stonewall is working in partnership with Bexley to provide three one-day courses on topical issues facing educational organisations and the communities they serve.
This first course, Tackling Homophobic, Biphobic and Transphobic Bullying and Language equips schools with the skills, tools and confidence to prevent and tackle HBT bullying, with a particular focus on practical tools, staff training, and action planning.
Training will equip schools with the skills, tools and confidence to prevent and tackle HBT bullying, with a particular focus on practical tools, staff training, and action planning.
For each course, Stonewall provides two trainers that come and deliver a full day CPD accredited training course. Each school that participates will receive a year’s membership to the Stonewall School Champions Programme. As part of their membership, schools get access to an extensive online library of resources, six new education resources a year, bespoke support from our expert education team and the chance to apply for free for the Stonewall School Champion Awards, which benchmarks best practice in LGBT inclusion. Schools have to apply for the award and evidence that their LGBT inclusion work meets Stonewall’s minimum standards, but Stonewall can provide lots of support with the application. School attending also receive stickers and training posters.
