Preparing and Conducting Statutory Assessment at KS1 and KS2

Outline

This course aims to prepare schools and trusts for statutory testing in maths in key stage one and key stage two.

Description

Every year, the Standards and Testing Agency update their guidelines regarding statutory tests at key stage one and two and head teachers or executive head teachers have to sign the Head Teacher’s Declaration Form to confirm that either the statutory assessments have been administered according to the published guidance or that any issues have been reported to the STA.

Emma Blackman, Teaching and Learning Adviser, will run through all the relevant documentation including the latest maladministration report and explore the latest guidance and changes that have been made.

The delegates will be made fully aware of their statutory obligations as well as what the STA and LA look for when conducting monitoring visits.

The delegates will be given a copy of the powerpoint so that they can cover the statutory obligation with their staff. Emma will also share a framework for a security plan.
