This course is being offered to all Early Years Providers at a price from £15.00 - full price will be shown on your booking. However, failure to complete the course in the 30 day allocated time frame will result in you being charged an additional £20 administration fee.
We have recently changed to The Safer Food Group who will be our new online training provider for Food Hygiene & Safety. Once you have booked onto this online training course, you will be contacted by the Early Years Team via email 3 - 5 days after booking with your course code and directions to log onto The Safer Food Group website.

This accredited course covers the nationally approved syllabus for Level 2 Food Allergen Awareness. It has additional content and context for professional childcare (Early Years) settings and is audited by and features an Paediatric First Aid specialist with first-hand experience of a life threatening food allergy. It includes the following content highlights:
1.Latest allergenic ingredient law and updates and EYFS context 2.Common mistakes when working with allergenic ingredients 3.Defining food allergies, food intolerances, and Coeliac Disease 4.14 food allergens named in legislation, and the dangers of hidden ingredients 5.How to create a simple system to manage the use of allergenic ingredients 6.How to design allergy-aware recipes and ingredient factsheets for staff and parents 7.How to make your premises allergy-ready incl suppliers, delivery, cooking and more 8.Identifying allergenic attacks and emergency First Aid and EpiPen use on young children
For all those planning, supervising, cooking and serving food in a childcare setting. This flexible online video-based course following the approved syllabus is filmed on-location in an Early Years setting and a commercial kitchen
