The aim of this workshop is to provide an overview of the support services available for pre-school children with SEND and an understanding of the Bexley referral and assessment processes.
This is a practical workshop where you will have an opportunity to update and collate your SEND folder. Candidates are invited to bring along their current SEND folders for updating. Early Years Advisers will explain and clarify the pathways to referrals and answer your questions.
By the end of this workshop participants will:
- Know where to access advice and information to support preschool children with additional needs.
- Know how and when to refer to other professionals.
- Have an understanding of the EHCP assessment process.
- Have an understanding of what additional inclusion funding may be available.
- Have an opportunity to ensure your SEN documentation is up to date.
This session is being offered to you at £30. PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept any cancellations or non attendance. Once you have booked on, you cannot cancel. Learners will be openly encouraged to do the same. Each individual is responsible for their own learning and if there is anything they feel they should raise regarding the training they should do so with the trainer during the session Each individual is expected to make a contribution, which will be valued and listened to Individuals should respect the learning environment and try not to disrupt the training There should be mutual respect within the group for individuals and their experiences Naive questions will be considered the norm Mobile phones should be on silent and not used during the training.
