Introduction to the English Curriculum: Teaching primary mathematics

Have you been teaching in another country? Are you new to the English curriculum?

If you are overseas trained, this course will give you an overview of the aims of the primary mathematics curriculum in England.

This course will be delivered by an experienced primary teacher and mathematics adviser Emma Blackman. Emma will cover the overview of the mathematics primary curriculum, including exploring the three aims and what this looks like within a lesson. Emma will also share with you where you can access free resources and more information to support your teaching of mathematics.

You will have a deeper understanding of how the aims fit into the primary curriculum for mathematics and what this looks like within the lesson.
You will come away with some top tips that you can use in the classroom.
You will be given a set of course notes which will support you back in the classroom.
