The aim of this course is to support childminders and early years staff to understand and support children with Autism in settings
The 3 hour training session includes a basic introduction to Autism and social communication disorders, highlighting the difficulties that children may have within a setting. It will explore the links between Autism and children’s feelings and behaviour and provide strategies and ways of supporting children to manage in a setting.
By the end of the training participants will be able to:
- Have a clear definition of Autism
- Understand issues surrounding Autism and be able to view this from a child’s perspective.
- Understand the impact of Autism on a child’s feelings and behaviour.
- To be confident in using a range of strategies
This course is offered at the price of £30 per delegate. Please note that if you book and do not attend you will be charged an additional charge of £30 administration fee. Please ensure that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the course commences. Latecomers will be asked to leave. Refreshments will be provided.
