Staff Development; Supporting and Supervising Your Team - Bexley-697 ( 16 January 2020, 18:30 - 21:30 )

Aimed at new or aspiring managers of PVI Nurseries and Pre-Schools.

Outline

This training aims to look at staff development, support and supervision in order to raise the quality of practice and meet the EYFS requirements.

Description

The training will explore:
  • The EYFS requirement for supervision and support
  • Challenges and solutions
  • Skills needed
  • Process and structure
  • Recording

We are offering this course to you at a rate of £20. PLEASE NOTE: Once a course is booked we do not accept cancellations

Do not attend unless you have received confirmation of booking.

Please arrive 15 minutes before training commences. Latecomers will be asked to leave and will be charged an additional £30 administration fee. If you book and do not attend or cancel, you will be charged an additional £30 administration fee.

Tea and coffee will be available.

Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will be better able to identify the need for staff support, formulate plans for staff development and utilise effective supervision.

Confidentiality must always be observed
The trainer will focus on the specific learning and will not engage in conversations inappropriate to the task in hand.
Learners will be openly encouraged to do the same.
Each individual is responsible for their own learning and if there is anything they feel they should raise regarding the training they should do so with the trainer during the session
Each individual is expected to make a contribution, which will be valued and listened to
Individuals should respect the learning environment and try not to disrupt the training
There should be mutual respect within the group for individuals and their experiences
Naive questions will be considered the norm

DUTY OF CARE

We commit to speaking confidentially whilst on this training. However, if you share anything with us (during or after the training) that is cause for concern, we have a duty to follow it up. This may mean speaking to your manager, to Ofsted, to Social Care or to the LADO
